About the Fire Awareness Awards
The Fire Awareness Awards are an important opportunity to recognise and thank people who are making a difference to fire safety in Victoria.
Since 2005 grants have also been presented at the Fire Awareness Awards event. These grants help fund community-based individuals or groups to turn their great fire safety ideas into reality.
The Fire Awareness Awards presentation event is held in October each year and coincides with national Community Safety Month
History:
The annual Fire Awareness Awards have been presented for more than seventeen years.
The Fire Awareness Awards are a collaborative venture between Victoria's three fire agencies – MFB (Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board), CFA (Country Fire Authority) and DSE (Department of Sustainability and Environment).
The Fire Awareness Awards have been proudly sponsored for many years by RACV Insurance and are supported by The Weekly Times.
